This Privacy Policy explains how Ibertech, MB (operating as Awee) (“Awee”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you visit https://awee.ai/ or use Awee Desktop (together, the “Service”).

1) Key points (plain language)

  • Awee is a desktop app that can connect to third-party AI providers.
  • When you use AI providers, your prompts and content are sent to the provider you select. If you use Awee Credits, requests may be proxied through Awee servers to enable credits, routing, and abuse prevention.
  • Awee does not store conversation history, prompts, outputs, web search queries/results, or your IP address in analytics on Awee servers (based on the current design).
  • The App may store conversations locally on your device.
  • Sharing uses public links. Anyone with the link can access the shared content.
  • Analytics are self-hosted in the EU and currently have no opt-out.
  • Diagnostic logs are collected only if you choose to submit them.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Emails are sent via Mailgun.

2) Scope and roles

This Privacy Policy covers personal data processed by Awee as controller in connection with:

  • the website https://awee.ai/,
  • Awee Desktop,
  • Accounts,
  • license validation and trial-abuse prevention,
  • Credits (balances and related usage),
  • sharing features (public links),
  • user-initiated diagnostic log submissions,
  • analytics, and
  • support communications.

2.1 Awee vs. AI Providers (important)

When you use provider-based AI processing, your content is processed by the AI Provider you select under their own terms and privacy policy. Awee’s role depends on how you connect:

  • BYOK / direct configuration (your API key): the App connects to the AI Provider using your configuration. Awee is not involved in the transmission of your prompts/outputs other than providing the software.
  • Awee Credits / proxied requests: your request is routed via Awee servers so we can provide the credits-based functionality and operate the Service. In this mode, Awee processes the content in transit to fulfill your request. Awee does not store that conversation content on Awee servers.

You should review the AI Provider’s policy before using it, especially if you include personal or confidential information in prompts.


3) Personal data we collect

3.1 Account data

If you create an Account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (personal or company name)

You may use certain parts of the App without an Account when using your own AI Provider API key.

3.2 License and entitlement data (cloud)

We process data needed to:

  • validate license status,
  • prevent repeated trial use, and
  • manage access to purchased functionality.

License records are stored indefinitely and do not contain personal information (as currently designed).

3.3 Credits and usage data (cloud)

If you use Awee Credits, we process:

  • Credit balance
  • Credit usage/consumption records (e.g., to show spend tracking and operate anti-abuse controls)

This data may be associated with your Account.

3.4 Shared Content (only when you choose to share)

If you choose to share an AI profile and/or conversation, we store the content you shared in Awee cloud storage and make it available via a public link.

Shared links:

  • contain only the shared conversation/profile content, and
  • do not include your Account name or Account identifier.

3.5 Support communications

If you contact us (e.g., support@awee.ai), we process:

  • your contact details,
  • the contents of your message and attachments,
  • our replies and related correspondence.

3.6 Diagnostic logs (user-initiated only)

We collect diagnostic logs only if you choose to submit them. Logs typically include technical and troubleshooting information (e.g., App version, OS version, error details). Please avoid including sensitive personal data in free-text fields.

3.7 Analytics (self-hosted, EU)

We collect general app usage and feature usage analytics, such as:

  • App version and basic device/OS information,
  • feature usage events and timestamps,
  • aggregated usage metrics.

We do not store your IP address in analytics (based on current configuration). Analytics are self-hosted in the EU. There is currently no opt-out.

3.8 Payments (Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe. Awee does not receive your full card number. Stripe may process payment and invoicing details. Awee receives limited transaction information such as purchase status and transaction identifiers.

3.9 Website data

When you visit the website, our web server may process basic server log data (for security and delivery of the website), such as:

  • IP address,
  • user-agent/browser information,
  • pages requested,
  • timestamps,
  • referrer information,
  • error logs.

(If we introduce non-essential cookies/trackers, we will update this policy and, where required, provide choices/consent.)


4) What we do not store (based on current design)

Except for Shared Content that you choose to upload/share, Awee does not store on Awee servers:

  • your conversation history,
  • prompts or AI outputs,
  • web search queries or search results, or
  • IP addresses in analytics.

Your device may store conversations locally depending on your settings and usage.


5) How we use personal data (purposes)

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage Accounts,
  • validate licenses and manage trial/purchase entitlements,
  • operate Credits (balances and usage),
  • provide sharing functionality you choose to use,
  • provide customer support,
  • send account/service communications,
  • maintain security and prevent fraud/abuse,
  • perform analytics to improve the Service (EU-hosted),
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce Terms.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) – to provide the Service (Account, license validation, Credits, sharing you enable, support).
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) – to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and run EU-hosted analytics (balanced against your rights).
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) – to meet applicable legal requirements.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – where we explicitly ask (e.g., optional cookies if introduced).

7) How we share personal data

7.1 AI Providers (when you use them)

Your prompts and other submitted content are transmitted to the AI Provider you select for processing. The provider’s privacy practices apply.

  • BYOK/direct: sent directly from the App to the provider according to your configuration.
  • Credits/proxy: routed via Awee servers for request handling and credits functionality; not stored by Awee.

7.2 Service providers (processors)

We use service providers to operate the Service, such as:

  • Stripe (payments),
  • Mailgun (sending emails),
  • hosting/infrastructure providers (licenses, Credits, sharing, analytics hosting),
  • support tooling (as applicable).

They process personal data only under our instructions and appropriate contractual safeguards.

If you generate a public sharing link, you are making Shared Content publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You can stop sharing by unsharing/removing the shared item from Awee cloud storage. Copies may persist with third parties.

We may disclose data if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate abuse/security issues.

7.5 Business transfers

If Awee undergoes a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, asset sale), data may be transferred subject to applicable law.


8) International data transfers

Awee is EU-based and hosts its self-hosted analytics in the EU. International data transfers may still occur depending on:

  • the AI Provider you choose (many are outside the EU), and
  • certain service providers’ operations.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and other measures to protect data in cross-border transfers.


9) Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law.

Current retention approach:

  • License records: stored indefinitely; contain no personal information (as designed); retained in part to prevent repeated trial use.
  • Accounts: retained until you request deletion and it is processed, plus limited additional time for security, backups, and legal compliance.
  • Credits and related usage: retained as needed to manage balances, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Shared Content: retained until you unshare/remove it (or until removed for abuse/legal reasons).
  • User-submitted logs: retained as long as needed to address the issue and for reasonable security/audit purposes.
  • Billing/legal records: retained for up to 12 months, and longer where required by law.

10) Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, and obtain a copy (portability) of your personal data.

10.1 Requests and Account deletion

Email privacy@awee.ai to exercise rights or request Account deletion.

  • Verification: verified via email (we confirm control of the email associated with the Account).
  • Typical completion time: within 30 days.
  • Scope: we delete user-associated data except license records (no personal info) and data we must retain to meet legal obligations.

10.2 Complaints (EU/EEA/UK)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Lithuania, the supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).


11) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal data.

  • TLS encryption in transit to Awee servers and to AI Providers.
  • OS secure storage for licenses and sensitive tokens/keys (where supported).
  • User responsibility: secure your device, email account, and any API keys you configure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.


12) Children

The Service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact privacy@awee.ai.


13) Web search feature

If you use Awee’s web search feature, Awee does not store search queries or search results on Awee servers (based on current design). Third-party services involved in search may process requests under their own policies.


14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice (e.g., on the website or by email). The “Effective date” at the top shows when this version took effect.
